Homemade yogurt with granola

Homemade yogurt with granola

Start your day with the perfect breakfast

Make creamy, thick homemade yogurt in your oven without a dedicated yogurt maker by using milk and yogurt culture. Top it off by roasting your very own granola - a delicious mix of nuts, seeds, maple syrup and honey.

Ingredients

200 g of wholegrain oats
200 g of almond slices
100 g of whole-wheat flour
110 g of brown sugar
30 g of poppy seeds
110 g of ghee butter
75 g of maple syrup
40 g of honey
100 g of extra honey for decorating
200 g of Greek yogurt or make your own yogurt using 1 liter of lactose-free milk and some yogurt culture

Step 1

Add the yogurt culture into the milk, mix thoroughly and pour it over into the portion jars or bowls. Place them in the Electrolux CombiSteamPro oven set on the Yogurt program. Thanks to the steam and 42 degrees Celsius, the oven maintains optimal conditions for cultivating the good yogurt bacteria. Cook for 6-8 hours.

Step 2

When yogurt is ready, put it in the fridge and start cooking granola. Melt the butter in the saucepan. If you use an induction hob this can be done without a water bath. Add maple syrup and honey to the melted butter. Stir thoroughly.

Step 3

Mix all the ingredients for the granola in the Electrolux Assitant kitchen machine. Evenly distribute the paste on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Set the oven on the Hot air mode (140 degrees Celsius) and place granola inside for 15 minutes. Pull out the baking tray, pour on some honey and mix thoroughly. Leave to bake in the oven for another 20 minutes. Turn off the oven, mix the granola again and leave it inside for 15 minutes more with the oven door left ajar.

Step 4

Pour home-made yogurt in a bowl and add granola on top. Decorate with fresh fruit.
